Ryland Clark

Ryland Clark, a Nathalie, VA native, prides himself on being a lifelong learner. He graduated from Halifax County High School in 2005 and then continued his education at N.C. State University pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering. After graduation, Ryland secured employment in Asheboro, NC at an injection molding company, as a quality engineer.  During his tenure in North Carolina, he went back to N.C. State to complete his Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. Later, Ryland pursued his master’s in engineering management from Duke University before returning home to Halifax County, Virginia. Since then, Ryland has been employed at Hitachi Energy where he serves as the Community Relations and Engagement Manager. He completed his PMP Certification (Project Manager Professional) in 2021, as well as a graduate of the Lead Virginia program in 2022.

Ryland is a passionate advocate that strives to support residents, families and local business of Halifax County. He enjoys engaging with his community and has served on the board of directors for the Industrial Development Authority, YMCA, the Prizery, and the Halifax Mentor Role Model Program. He is also the JV baseball coach at Halifax County High School. Through these groups and opportunities, he aspires to pour life, connections, and hope into the community through relationships with other groups and individuals in Halifax County. His personal hobbies involve his supporting local church, scuba diving, flying a drone, running, working out at the YMCA, or traveling.
