About Serving Hope Food Pantry
The Serving Hope Food Pantry distributes food monthly to households experiencing food insecurities in Halifax County Virginia. Feedmore supplies USDA food items monthly. The USDA food, donations, and purchased food are used to help residents with additional food for the month.
Backpack Buddies Program
Backpack Buddies Program provides children experiencing food insecurity with nutritious, kid-friendly, pre-packed meals for the weekend—when they would not have access to a school’s free lunch and breakfast. The Serving Hope Food Pantry works with school guidance counselors and social workers in Halifax County Virginia to help identify students with the greatest risk of food insecurity to be recipients of Backpack Buddies.
