Danielle Lucas is a Planner and Head Start Compliance Specialist looking at Quality Improvements and building the Agency’s potential. She is currently guiding the Infant and Maternal Health Home Visiting Services as it starts its new program.
Ms. Lucas received her Bachelor’s of Arts Degrees from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell, one in Psychology and one in Studio Arts. She then moved to Greensboro, NC where she earned her Early Childhood Administration Certificate and was an Early Childhood Center Administrator for over 10 years. She then went on to work for Early Childhood Licensing at the State level for the Department of Education in North Carolina and then in Oregon. She has also served as a Commissioner for the City of Estacada, OR Arts Commission. The experience living, working, and volunteering for the community in the different regions of the nation has given her insight into overall systems and approaches to improving equitable access to quality early childhood programs and the resources available to the community.
