Energy Share Program

Energy Share has been serving customers in need since 1982.  It is Dominion Energy’s year–round assistance program helping qualified customers with bill pay assistance, free energy–efficiency upgrades, as well as outreach and education. It is a program of last resort to retain or restore service.

Recipients can receive up to $600 during the heating season (October 1st – May 31st) and up to $300 during the cooling season (June 1st – Sept 30th) while funds are available. You must have a disconnection notice with exception of those over 60 who do not need a disconnection notice to receive assistance.

How to Get Assistance

To get assistance, you must bring all required documents to your appointment (copy of a bill, all income (including food stamps), Valid I.D. (with date of birth) and Social Security numbers of everyone in the household. Failure to bring all documents will result in a delay of receiving assistance.

FUNDED BY DOMINION ENERGY

Funds for Energy Share come from tax-deductible donations from customers, stockholders, employees, Energy Share Partners and Dominion Energy and are distributed through a network of nonprofit health and human service agencies. Funds are made available on a limited basis within Dominion Energy Virginia and South Carolina service territories.
