The Agency Intake Specialist meets with new or prospective clients, obtain answers to questions for the purpose of compiling data and using the data to determine the next course of action for the client.
- Conduct intake interviews.
- Oversee the use of the kiosk.
- Provide client centered, motivational and non-judgmental interview techniques.
- Ability to use critical thinking skills and work independently.
- Answer and screen telephone inquiries and emails from prospective clients.
- Collect data and other information from new clients to enter in the database system.
- Processes paperwork for new clients efficiently and in accordance with protocols.
- Submit information to the various programs to assist with aiding the client.
- Determine baseline eligibility for multiple programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma/GED or BA in Human Service field, preferred.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the various programs offered by the agency.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications strongly required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
- Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and child protective search.
- Sit 50% of workday

- Uses computer, calculator and other office equipment
- Occasionally lift 25 pounds
