Tri-County Community Action Agency (TCCAA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting and representing the interests of low-income residents of Halifax, Mecklenburg, and Charlotte counties in Southside Virginia. TCCAA has continuously administered Federal, State and Local Programs in Halifax County, VA since 1967.

Strategic Initiatives

Our strategic initiatives help to empower people and strengthen communities to succeed during times of change by providing resources, education and advocacy through a variety of programs we administer.  Our clients are found in a variety of settings in Halifax, Mecklenburg, and Charlotte Counties in Southside Virginia. What unites them is a burning desire to adaptively transform their community by achieving success for themselves and their families in the face of increasing challenges.

Expand Programming for Children
Disrupt the cycle of poverty by expanding programs for children in order to increase self sufficiency for families
Increase Workforce Development Opportunities
Increase workforce development opportunities for individuals throughout the region
Increase Awareness of Needs
Become the voice of those living in poverty throughout the region by increasing awareness of needs
Advocate for Affordable Housing
Influence affordable housing development by becoming a well known resource and advocate throughout the region
